The Binance East Africa team organized another meeting in Meru, Kenya, hoping to educate the community on its products further. The meetup, hosted on November 26, had its main agendas surrounding knowledge of money, education on crypto and blockchain, and more on Binance products. While some of the members in attendance did not know about crypto, the learning sessions proved enlightening for everyone.
One of the top community leaders in the Binance East Africa team, Mr. Mathendu, led the Meru meetup.

The discussions were all-inclusive, with the sessions engaging the attendees and offering incentives for participation. Among the giveaways were Binance merchandise and $10 for new account holders or winners of quizzes thereafter.
The Binance East Africa team mission
Binance hopes to create more earning opportunities for crypto enthusiasts globally. Africa, and Kenya specifically, stands as one of the fast-growing crypto adopters globally. The meetup touched on the central issue new crypto enthusiasts have to deal with: crypto scams. Notably, most scammers still use bitcoin and Binance as a point of target for unknowing audiences.

As such, the Binance East Africa team explained in depth what crypto, bitcoin, and Binance are. The team also gave the community pointers on how to evade crypto scammers, especially from the Telegram community.
It also touched extensively on how to start trading on the Binance mobile app, offering users a way to create passive income. The team also explained other Binance products such as spot trading, P2P trading, Binance Pay, Binance Earn, the Binance affiliate program, the volunteer program, and the Binance campus ambassador program.
Crypto as the future
The most encouraging insights during the meetup were the future of crypto as an investment, mode of exchange, and store of value. While the crypto industry is still 14 years old, there is more to expect in the coming years. One crucial aspect is that the early birds have more to benefit from once the sector goes mainstream.
Furthermore, with the resources Binance and its team provide, everyone gains the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the industry. Considering the growing faith of the crypto sector in Africa as a potential blockchain and crypto hub, these steps to reach the community extensively is a start.
The Binance East Africa team is a small part of the bigger picture, hoping to host more educative sessions as time passes. For more information on giveaways, events, and educative webinars and meetings, join the Binance East Africa community on Telegram.
