The famous crypto exchange, Binance, seals an MoU with Kazakhstan government over global expansion in digital assets marketing as well as formulating plans for a hub in the country.
Binance signs an agreement with Kazakhstan’s financial monitoring agency. The crypto exchange plans to formalize its shared interest in developing a crypto asset base.
The agreement expresses mutual support in developing crypto assets. The memorandum of understanding demonstrates support for data circulation.
In addition, the agreement also targets illegal trading activities in the crypto space.
The Memorandum of Understanding
According to Kazakhstan’s President, Kassym-Jomart Toakyev, Binance plans to expand its Kazakhstan office. The crypto exchange signed an agreement with the Ministry of Digital Development. The deal was sealed in May after a meeting with President Kassym. Binance received authorization to operate in the country in August. The crypto exchange will operate from the Astana Financial Services Authority.
The developments in Kazakhstan form part of Binance’s wider global law enforcement training. The training program serves to link up local and international financial authorities. Binance’s CEO claims the move will fight against cyber and financial crimes globally.
The objective of the training program
Currently, the training program was completed in France, Germany, Italy, the UK and Norway. Other entities that embraced the training program include Canada, Brazil and Israel.
Binance continues to seek approval and registration across the world. The crypto exchange together with the Kazakhstan government aims to fight against cyber and financial crimes globally.
Earlier, the head of state said that Kazakhstan created very good conditions for the development of IT. Tokayev stressed that some companies intend to expand their presence in Kazakhstan.
The president highlighted that certain agreements will deepen cooperation with other countries.
Kazakhstan’s journey with Binance
In May, Binance signed an MoU with Kazakhstan as a global expansion initiative. Within the agreement, the parties voiced interest in developing Kazakhstan’s virtual asset base.
The agreement gave Binance an advisory role in developing legislative and regulatory frameworks. The legislative and regulatory frameworks target crypto assets.
The Ministry of Digital Development and Aerospace Industry together with Binance will work together. The partnership aims at integrating banking infrastructure within the crypto space.
The move sought to facilitate the development and implementation of distributed ledger technology.
Recently, President Tokayev revealed the government’s intentions for Kazakhstan. The government intends to turn Kazakhstan into a global digital asset center. Specifically, the authorities seek to introduce a project in Kazakhstan.
The project will enable the conversion of cryptocurrencies to cash and vice versa in a regulated and secure way.
In June this year, Galymzhan Pirmatov – Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan – praised the crypto space. The chairman stated that the digital asset niche is an intriguing matter that the institution should not ignore
