UAE Ministry of Economy Launches New Address on Metaverse

The UAE Ministry of Economy announces a new headquarters within the virtual space in the Metaverse as a way of expanding its grip on the digital and virtual tech space.

The UAE Ministry of Economy announces a third address in the virtual world within the metaverse.

The UAE Minister of Economy, Abdulla bin Touq Al-Marri made the announcement on September 28. The minister reiterated that the address does not encompass a proof of concept but rather just another additional address.

UAE’s third address

The ministry seeks to give a live tour of the virtual headquarters afterward. The third address within the metaverse will act as a headquarter.

The headquarters will feature a multiple-story building. Each of the story buildings will serve a different purpose. Anyone in the world can visit the space within the metaverse.

The platform allows visitors to take a ticket which will prompt a customer happiness center employee to join the metaverse.

The new headquarters will complement the ministry’s two existing offices. The ministry camps in Abu Dhabi and Dubai are the other existing headquarters. The setup allows the ministry to make digital services a huge part of its operations.

This follows the directives issued by the UAE Leadership.

Other players in the metaverse

The new headquarters also houses an auditorium that facilitates virtual conferences and other events. The headquarters also hosts several meeting rooms that allow users to share a screen.

Visitors to the virtual headquarters will sign legally binding documents that help to eliminate the need for signatories. Previously, signatories visited the physical locations or addresses. The visit served as a means for them to provide their signatures.

Consequently, the launch follows Dubai’s government’s strategy. The metaverse strategy by the government of Dubai took place on July 18. The metaverse strategy aimed to create 40,000 virtual jobs by 2030.

The strategy also plans to support the government’s vision. The government seeks to increase the number of blockchain companies. The goal is to increase the number to five times the current capacity.

The ministry aims to provide full services in the metaverse aspect. The minister insisted that they would reskill the whole team at the ministry.

The UAE ministry’s plans

Apparently, the ministry plans to replace its own website. Rather than owning a 2D website, the ministry will replace it with an immersive 3D metaverse. The technology will reshape the workplace by creating immersive ways of team collaboration.

The metaverse aims to accelerate skill learning. The ministry will boost the skills docket through virtualization and creating a metaverse economy.

The metaverse will comprise new enterprises and work roles. In line with UAE’s digital push, a number of entities in the country continue to tap into the metaverse.
