Algorand partners with Indian organizations for Web3 adoption

Algorand collaborates with T-Hub, universities and Clinton Foundation in India for Web3 growth and impact

Algorand Foundation partnered with key organizations in India to grow the ecosystem for Algorand’s blockchain technology. 

India aims to stand out as the world’s most populous country in 2023. In light of this, Algorand committed itself to promoting job opportunities and providing solutions for India’s growing population.

Algorand pushing for web3 adoption in India

Algorand stands as the first layer-1 blockchain protocol to collaborate with T-Hub, India’s top innovation hub. T-Hub harbors over 600 corporate partners, including well-known names like Intel, Microsoft, and Cisco. 

Algorand’s and T-Hub’s partnership will aid startups and established companies in creating blockchain-based solutions with high impact and scalability.

“T-Hub and Telangana state are dedicated to supporting a Web3 ecosystem of entrepreneurs, developers, and creators,” said T-Hub CEO M. S. Rao. 

“Our partnership with Algorand, which has a secure and reliable blockchain technology, will help our ecosystem grow globally and access capital from around the world,” he added.

Algorand will also collaborate with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad and the Indian School of Business to launch faculty development programs, student training, and a master class series for companies looking to transition to Web3.

Supporting Climate Resilience

The layer-1 blockchain protocol also partnered with  $50 million Global Climate Resilience Fund. The fund was initially launched by the Clinton Foundation and its Clinton Global Initiative, with SEWA as a founding partner.

Through the fund, micro-entrepreneur women will receive assistance in tackling climate change and connecting with carbon markets

Algorand CEO Staci Warden joined former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and The Clinton Foundation in Ahmedabad to celebrate the new fund. 

“At Algorand Foundation, we are committed to making blockchain a catalyst for a more inclusive economy in India and across the globe,” said Warden. “I am thrilled to see the excitement and enthusiasm for technology that can have such a positive impact on people’s lives.”
