BAYC owners are expected to sign up and confirm ownership to view offers in the new marketplace.
How will it play out?
When a brand hits the HIRE button and selects an Ape on the platform, the deal is brought to the ape owner. If both parties are in agreement with the terms and conditions, then the deal moves forward and it is sealed.
The Bored Ape Yacht Club now offers a great opportunity to ape owners by allowing them to use the IP rights of the NFTs they bought. However, Bored Jobs has not provided ape owners with an instruction manual on how to navigate the site.
The platform announced that Bored Jobs is still working on an instruction manual and it will be available to ape owners soon.
According to the Co-Founder of Mouse Belt, Patrick McLain, the platform has received more than 200 applications from BAYC owners.
The ape owners are seeking verification for ownership of ape NFTs and will get a chance to be hired once verified. The rise in traffic comes only 24 hours after the launch of the Bored Jobs marketplace on June 29.
McLain confirmed that the platform is only adding a way to connect brands with ape owners through an easy messaging system. This system comprises deal terms, details and license terms that will be negotiated between the two parties.
Impact of bored apes on the market
The Bored Ape Yacht Club provides Ape owners with commercial rights that they can use in creative ways.
BAYC NFT owner and food entrepreneur, Andy Nguyen, launched a BAYC-themed restaurant called Bored & Hungry.
The restaurant is located in Long Beach, California and was launched in April. Hollywood star Seth Green, from the TV series Robot Chicken, is using his ape as the main character in an upcoming TV show.
KINGSHIP, a virtual metaverse band that was launched late last year, is incorporating BAYC avatars to represent band members. Brands are now able to utilize Apes by making them the face of their brand and part of a large-scale marketing campaign.
The Co-Founder also insisted that Mouse Belt plans to expand to support other NFT top-tier projects. McLain expects that the platform will add Mutant Apes in about two weeks. Other additions include Gutter Cats and Crypto punks that will be added in four and six weeks respectively.
The Bore Jobs marketplace has already had top-tier videos for these communities in the recent past. Mouse Belt is known for its ability to create crypto-focused media content. It launched its doco-series on YouTube dubbed “Coins Podcast” in August last year.
The podcast features Cardano Co-Founder Charles Hoskinson and FTX Founder and CEO Bankman Fried.
With the new marketplace, brands such as video game companies that want to ‘drop’ pre-made characters will do so at a simple rate.
