- Marcie’s addition crucial to SHIB metaverse development
Shiba Inu recently announced that they would be bringing in Marcie Jastrow to join their metaverse team. The announcement, which went live on Monday 23rd May, coined Marcie as an industry veteran, referring to her experience in the industry spanning over 20 years.
Marcie’s appointment comes weeks after the meme coin’s developers announced their entrance into the Metaverse. SHIB: The Metaverse, is the developer’s attempt at dropping the ‘meme coin’ tag and coming up with some functionality for the community.
When speaking on her new appointment, Marcie mentioned that she was thrilled to be joining the Shiba Inu community. “The #ShibArmy is truly one of the most robust communities out there. I am thrilled to be able to help build and construct an amazing place for the community to explore and call home.
More partnerships in store ahead of SHIB: The Metaverse
Shiba Inu’s announcement further detailed that more partnerships were in store, as the development team geared to bring SHIB: The Metaverse to life.
Marcie’s input to the team will be especially crucial as she guides the entire team into securing all the right partnerships for the project. Overall, she will be in charge of creating a rich and immersive experience for the ecosystem.
Metaverse project to strengthen Shiba Inu community influence
Several weeks ago, Shiba Inu developers finally unveiled the details of the community’s metaverse project. The virtual reality project would be using Ether as the land pricing token for the 100,000+ land parcels in SHIB: The Metaverse.
The developers chose to use ether over SHIB to prevent the latter’s downside risk. What’s more, the developers will be using Shibarium to build the metaverse.
The community’s efforts towards building a metaverse came after being under constant scrutiny for failing to have a use case. The meme coin came into existence in 2020 and has been doing quite well, riding on the wave of hyped meme coins, with most of it coming from Tesla’s Elon Musk.
Two years later, the robust community is rallying up for its first major project, SHIB: The Metaverse. So far, developers have already launched the native blockchain, Shibarium, which will host the project’s metaverse.
At the time of writing, Shiba Inu ranks #16 on Coinmarketcap and trades at $0.00001147.
